Introduction
Counselling / Psychotherapy is an extremely useful way to explore and discuss one's feelings. It provides a professional approach to understanding oneself and facilitates psychological progression. By discussing the past, the present and future , an individual will achieve a more successful outcome. It is a useful exercise for most people and in particular, if gender change is desired. As a facilitator, supporter and information source, a counsellor can help an individual towards a more successful outcome.

Sharon Fillingham RN, BSc (Hons) MSC, Dip. Counselling, Dip. RZT
It was whilst working as a Ward Sister in Urology that Sharon identified that individuals with gender dysphoria had little access to therapists who had a specific interest / knowledge of the subject. In order to be more effective in her support, she decided to train as a therapist and undertook a Diploma in Counselling and an MSC in Human Sexuality. She has gained sixteen year's experience in this field of work.
