Introduction
Voice and communication styles are crucial elements of a person's identity. Many transgender and transsexual individuals cite these aspects as being vital to their successful transition. Although often a challenging feature of the overall transition process, advances regarding voice and communication modification can be gained through Speech and Language Therapy. Aspects of speech and voicing are taught to clients in manageable steps and as part of individualised programmes to ensure progress in this area. The Speech and Language Therapy treatment process is clearly outlined to clients at the initial consultation. Treatment goals are established between therapist and clients, according to individual needs and circumstances.

Christella Antoni - BA(Hons) MSc MRCSLT
Christella Antoni is a Speech and Language Therapist and a Consultant Voice Specialist. She underwent her Masters training in Speech and Language Pathology and Therapy at UCL in London and began specializing in voice in 1996. She has extensive experience in the treatment of transgender and transsexual voice and communication skills. In her role as a national advisor of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists, she supports other SLT's working with the trans population and runs study days and teaching courses for Speech and Language Therapists working in this field.
Christella has written articles for The British Voice Association and The Gender Trust magazines. In her media work, she has appeared on ITV's 'This Morning' programme and the Discovery Home and Health channel series 'Sex Changes' regarding her work with transsexual voice. In March 2006, she was featured in the two part Radio 4 series, 'A voice Like Honey'.
In addition to her work with voice clients, Christella is currently writing a therapy work book for Speechmark publishers entitled: 'Working With Transgender/Transsexual Voice'.

Schedule of Fees for Speech and Language Therapy

(Payment must be made at the time of the consultation by cash or cheque)
* The above fees include any reports that may need to be written to other health professionals and practice materials given during therapy. They also include all voice measurements and recordings made during the treatment process.
Payment methods: Payment by cheque or cash on day of treatment. (Note: if paying by cheque, pre-written cheques may save time at the end of your session).
Failed appointments: (please note, that 24hrs notice is required to cancel appointments. Full payment is required for appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice.)
